The Whowells
This family was so easy-going and it was so enjoyable doing this photo session with them - even though we were all freezing that morning! The Whowells live in our area and we've been acquainted with them for a while now. Trevor and Lisa are so genuine and kind, and their children Brayden and Kaitlyn are really fun and sweet. I am so grateful that they chose me as their photographer when they wanted to update their family photos! Here are just a few of my personal favourites from the session.

Lindsay, Tim, Jordin, Mason and Hunter
I met Lindsay last year when her daughter was in kindergarten at the same school as my oldest daughter. Lindsay is such a sweet, amazing woman who I am very lucky to have the pleasure of knowing. And it certainly helps that her husband Tim is a wonderful man and all three of her children are fun, well-behaved, and simply adorable! I had the pleasure of doing a mini session with them a couple of weeks ago. Here are a few of my favourites.

Ginny's Maternity Session
Although I haven't been friends with this lovely woman for very long (a couple of years, although we were only acquaintances at first) I feel like I've known her my entire life. I can talk to her about absolutely anything and she never makes me feel like I'm being ridiculous even when I really am. She's sweet, thoughtful, caring, trustworthy, genuine... I could go on and on! Not to mention her kids and husband are also awesome and we all get along so wonderfully. The cherry on top is that she is having a baby boy any time now, and him and Scarlett are going to get to grow up together! Here are a few pictures from Ginny's session. I can't wait to meet baby Oliver and snuggle him!

Ruby's Not-So-Smashing Cake Smash
Little Miss Ruby just had her first birthday, and what better way to celebrate than with a cake smash?! Well, Ruby certainly had other plans in mind. She adamantly refused to participate in smashing her cake, but we improvised and took her lead and still ended up with some adorable shots that show off her incredible personality! Here are a few of my favourites from her session. Happy 1st Birthday Ruby!

The Bolton Family
When scheduling larger groups for family photos, one can almost always expect a wee bit more difficulties - especially when there are young children involved! It can be a stressful time for families as they try to coordinate outfits, timing, and location, and let's face it - it's not always "fun" for the families to put it all together and show up with a smile. Add in a couple of young children who don't want their picture taken, and unusually frigid temperatures for the end of April, and it's really like a balancing act trying to get it all to work out. Luckily last weekend with the Bolton family we all worked together to pull it off! This family was so patient, and they were all very enjoyable to photograph. Here's a sneak peek from their session.

Noah and Olivia
I've known (and loved!) both these two little firecrackers since they were born. They live right next door and it's been so amazing to watch them grow from inside their mama's belly all the way to these beautiful, wonderful kids that they are today. I'm looking forward to seeing how much they continue to change and grow over the years.
Their session was hilarious because these two monkeys just didn't want to settle and have their pictures taken - especially not together! But even the photos that aren't "perfect" are an amusing reminder of their true personalities, and if you have the pleasure of knowing this family you will understand just how "perfect" these photos really are because they totally reflect their true colours.
Here are some pictures from Noah and Olivia's session! Enjoy!

Mel and Chloe
A while back I ran a giveaway on my Facebook page when I hit 100 likes. I was thrilled when I used Random.org to find a winner and it happened to be Mel! We have known each other since high school and her daughter Chloe is just so sweet and adorable. Congrats on winning this free mini session, Mel! Here's a sneak peek of Mel and Chloe's session.

Fall Mini Sessions - Round 2!
Last weekend I decided to do another round of Fall Mini Sessions. This time they were done at Websters Falls, and it was an absolutely beautiful autumn day! I had a wonderful time that day doing these sessions while catching up with some old friends, and I also had the pleasure of meeting a new amazing family. I have to say I quite enjoy doing the Mini Sessions and I will certainly do a couple of rounds in the Spring! Here are some sneak peeks from last weekend.
