Baby Oliver

My wonderful and amazing friend Ginny (who you may recall I did maternity photos of not so long ago) gave birth to her third child about a week and a half ago; her family welcomed a sweet little boy and named him Oliver. Of course there was nothing I wanted more than to do a newborn session with the handsome little dude! I'm so excited to watch him grow up, especially alongside my daughter Scarlett. They are sure to be wonderful friends, just like all our other children already are. Congrats to the Hoage family on their precious, tiny guy. Here are a couple of my favourites.

Baby Everest

My cousin and her husband just welcomed their third baby ten days ago and I was absolutely smitten with this tiny, sweet guy! Everest joined the club of babies that refused to sleep for their newborn session - I swear I follow all the tips and tricks, but sometimes nothing works! Regardless, I still got some adorable shots of the little stud muffin. He is just so adorable and precious! Special thanks to Megan and Don for giving me the opportunity to take pics of Everest; support from my family and friends is so important to me. Here are a few of my favourites from his session. Ginny's Maternity Session

Although I haven't been friends with this lovely woman for very long (a couple of years, although we were only acquaintances at first) I feel like I've known her my entire life. I can talk to her about absolutely anything and she never makes me feel like I'm being ridiculous even when I really am. She's sweet, thoughtful, caring, trustworthy, genuine... I could go on and on! Not to mention her kids and husband are also awesome and we all get along so wonderfully. The cherry on top is that she is having a baby boy any time now, and him and Scarlett are going to get to grow up together! Here are a few pictures from Ginny's session. I can't wait to meet baby Oliver and snuggle him!

Ruby's Not-So-Smashing Cake Smash

Little Miss Ruby just had her first birthday, and what better way to celebrate than with a cake smash?! Well, Ruby certainly had other plans in mind. She adamantly refused to participate in smashing her cake, but we improvised and took her lead and still ended up with some adorable shots that show off her incredible personality! Here are a few of my favourites from her session. Happy 1st Birthday Ruby!

Noah and Olivia

I've known (and loved!) both these two little firecrackers since they were born. They live right next door and it's been so amazing to watch them grow from inside their mama's belly all the way to these beautiful, wonderful kids that they are today. I'm looking forward to seeing how much they continue to change and grow over the years.

Their session was hilarious because these two monkeys just didn't want to settle and have their pictures taken - especially not together! But even the photos that aren't "perfect" are an amusing reminder of their true personalities, and if you have the pleasure of knowing this family you will understand just how "perfect" these photos really are because they totally reflect their true colours.

Dylan Eva Lynn - Newborn Session

I know... it's been forever since I've posted on my photography blog! There are a few reasons for that, but mainly I took a break for the month of December and spent time with my family, rather than spending my time with my photography. I did a few shoots, but nothing ended up on the blog. My apologies for that. I have a bit of a collection of studio equipment now and will have a Mini Session promo coming up VERY soon. Keep an eye on the blog and Facebook so you won't miss out! But seriously, this one session was worth the wait... I promise!

Now, let's get to the goods.

My best friend Brittany and her wonderful husband welcomed a beautiful, precious baby girl on January 20th and I had the tremendous pleasure of getting to do her newborn photos this past weekend. Although she was a very stubborn (but oh so cute!) little gem and did not want to sleep for us, persistence paid off and she eventually gave in and snoozed so we could get the adorable, memorable shots that we were hoping for. I am so thrilled with how they turned out and can't wait to share them with you below!

Brittany and Tyler, congratulations on your little miracle. She is absolutely perfect, amazing, and gorgeous. I hope you love these photos as much as I do, and cherish them for years to come.
